Siteworx

2009-2017

Design and development agency.

Agency, Web UX/UI, Product Design, Management

My design career started at Siteworx. During this time, I led agile-run projects for web, iOS/Android for Fortune 500 companies. During my time at Siteworx, the design team racked up 25 awards from Interactive Media Awards. Before parting ways, I managed a team of 4 junior and senior designers.

Included is a small sampling of work during my time as a designer.

  • In my first few years, I designed creative for $100k+ pitches, created responsive experiences for Fortune 500 clients, listened, and learned.

Siteworx is where I honed in on my craft. I took night courses to better understand front-end, started pushing my own changes with developers, began prototyping, and educated myself in a vast number of industries, ranging from flooring, to finance, to nonprofits and hospitality.

As our team grew, I was promoted to lead 4 designers and our design intern. I did this while also contributing design work to our larger clients, like Goldman Sachs and AARP.

To anyone out there wondering what it’s like to work with Ashleigh— call me up and I’ll give you an ear full about how special she is. Not only is she an incredibly talented designer (more about that later) but she’s also a natural when it comes to mentoring those around her. And Ashleigh is a rock-solid dependable professional. I have literally never seen her drop the ball.

Ashleigh and I worked together at Siteworx for over 5 years, and she reported to me for a little over a year. During that time, I promoted her from Senior to Lead Designer and head of the visual design practice. In her day-to-day client work, Ashleigh always delivered thoughtful, high-quality design, quickly and often under pressure. And beyond that, she led our visual design practice group to build up new skills and helped a team that was spread over multiple locations bond through creative exploration.

Although Ashleigh has left her full-time position at Siteworx to pursue new creative ventures, I hope that we’ll have opportunities to continue working together in the future. She is truly one of a kind.
